What to do
Visit the campus of Harvard University and rub the shoe of the John Harvard statue for luck. Some people believe that by doing this they’ll get accepted to Harvard
Walk the Freedom Trail! When walking around the city centre you’ll notice a path of bricks in the sidewalk. Following this 4k trail will take you to all the major attractions and historical buildings significant to the history of the United States. Definitely my favorite thing to do in Boston
Watch the city from above at the Prudential Center
Visit the cute stores around Cambridge and Somerville
Visit the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, which is the house and collection of travel trinkets of Isabella Gardner. Quite an impressive collection, and super inspiring for someone who loves travelling
Walk around the beautiful area around Beacon Hill
For great day trips away from Boston, head to Salem and explore the era of the witch trials, or Portsmouth in New Hampshire for great fishfood and cute stores.
What to eat
For great burgers, visit Shake Shack or Tasty Burger in Cambridge
For the best pizza slices in the North End, head to Galleria Umberto
While you’re already there, head across the street for dessert at Mike’s Pastry. Their cannolis are amazing!
One cannot go to Boston without trying out their clam chowder. My favorite is the one you can get at Faneuil Hall (a stop on the Freedom Trail)
For awesome Chinese food you need to visit Chinatown! My favorite restaurant is Taiwan Café which has amazing soup dumplings
Getting around
Boston’s subway system, the T can get you pretty much anywhere you want in Boston for just a few bucks. If you like fresh air, I can definitely recommend walking or biking when possible. Boston is a rather small city, and you can reach most attractions by foot.
