English recap: Our last stop in China, before entering Hong Kong, was Guilin which is located in Guangxi in the southern part of China. Guilin was the first city in China to develop tourism after 1949, which means that it’s full of tourists and tourist traps. Therefor we decided to stay as far away as possible from the swarms of tourists, and instead we rented an airbnb in a little village of 400 people located at the river (I’ll share a post about this next week). So instead of fighting with for a spot on the river with the thousands of other tourists, we instead went hiking in the mountains, and saw places that probably no dane has ever seen before.
